As a tyre manufacturer, Goodyear offers a wide range of products and sizes in this segment.

At its stand (B81) on the open-air site of the trade fair, the tyre manufacturer provided information about its tyre portfolio for dump trucks and wheel loaders, as well as for heavy-duty trucks and tippers, primarily on unpaved roads.

“We offer a large portfolio of sophisticated, high-performance tyres for industrial and construction machinery. Steinexpo was the perfect opportunity for us to present a selection of our OTR tyre segment and to engage in valuable personal exchanges with our customers,” says Frank Löb, Manager Sales Business OTR at Goodyear.

The company will be highlighted the following tyres and solutions on site:

Goodyear POWERLOAD®

The POWERLOAD® tyre series was developed to optimise the productivity, durability and cost-effective operation of compact wheel loaders and small graders, making them more efficient and sustainable to operate. It is equipped with Smooth Guard Technology™. It is characterised by a particularly reinforced protective rubber layer in the shoulder area and in the sidewall, which gives the tyre greater durability. In addition, the new tyre series has a reinforced sidewall construction for more lateral stability. The profile of the tyres is not directional, so they can be mounted on any wheel position. The Goodyear POWERLOAD® offers excellent traction and directional stability off-road.

GP-3E

The GP-3E is specially designed for wheel loaders, articulated dump trucks and graders. With its special Goodyear Type 6 rubber compound, it ensures increased abrasion resistance and thus lower tyre costs. At the same time, the model impresses with a reduced total weight compared to its predecessors. The special construction is proven to optimise tread wear, contributing to Goodyear’s goal of maximising efficiency and sustainability – without sacrificing tyre performance.

The tread pattern of the GP-3E offers high traction through additional gripping edges, a double row of center lugs and an increased number of lugs. At the same time, the tread design supports a high degree of flotation through even weight distribution in the contact area.

The further developed tread profile, in combination with the new carcass construction, also offers increased driving comfort – a bonus for the driver during long shifts in difficult climatic conditions.

The latest Goodyear tyres are designed for electric, hybrid and conventional diesel vehicles, in line with the company’s Electric Drive Ready strategy. Because one and the same tyre can be used regardless of the type of drive, operators can optimise their storage.

Omnitrac Heavy Duty

The Omnitrac Heavy Duty tyre series was specially developed for use on heavy-duty trucks or tippers that only drive short distances on paved roads and primarily on unpaved roads, such as on construction sites, in mines or quarries. The Omnitrac Heavy Duty Series focuses on vehicles that work primarily in rough terrain and only cover short distances on paved roads. At the same time, the tyres offer improved fuel efficiency and connectivity in combination with tyre management systems.

TL-4A

The TL-4A is an OTR tyre for articulated trucks and scrapers. With this tyre, the manufacturer is responding to the growing number of vehicles with higher capacities. The high tread depth of the tyre ensures excellent traction on muddy and soft surfaces. The TL-4A comes in two versions in size 33.25 R 29 with a high-strength steel belt for improved puncture resistance.

TPMS Heavy Duty

Goodyear has many years of experience in the development of tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS). The company is presenting the extended TPMS Heavy Duty at Steinexpo. The system communicates with drivers and fleet managers via the two apps Goodyear FleetHub and Goodyear DriverHub, who are provided with predictive tyre data and helpful information for the proactive and preventive maintenance of their fleets.
