The agreement, which is carried out through the Effitire contract, is based on a variable cost linked to the level of activity and mileage.

Thanks to this association, Transportes Machado & Brites benefits from the following advantages:

  • Professional fleet tracking and automated tyre condition monitoring, facilitating preventive maintenance and reducing both inspection costs and the risk of incidents related to possible tyre damage

  • Range of Michelin truck tyres with low rolling resistance, adapted to each route and activity, with excellent durability and guaranteeing mobility regardless of the weather.

  • Michelin multi-life model, which reduces the environmental footprint and maximises profitability with Remix tyres (reuse of carcasses for a second life through retreading) and regroovable tyres

  • Roadside assistance services, with the wide geographical coverage of the network of Michelin, and Michelin On Call service providers, available throughout Europe, ensures the mobility of the fleet and allows the carrier to meet delivery times.

The use of digital tools that allow the status of the tyres of each vehicle to be known at all times, together with the optimisation of the tyres based on the Michelin multi-life model, have been decisive factors for this alliance, which aims to implement professional services management and maintenance of the tyres of the Transportes Machado & Brites fleet to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, in addition to reinforcing travel safety.
