Goodyear presented its tyres and solutions for greater efficiency and sustainability in heavy-duty use at the MAWEV Show 2024, the international trade fair for construction machinery and trucks used on construction sites.

In a competitive market that requires increasing efficiency and sustainability for business success, Goodyear offers customers a complete line of tyres and solutions to extend job site uptime and reduce total costs. The tyres, solutions and services are central elements of the holistic mobility concept of Goodyear Total Mobility. At the MAWEV Show 2024 in St. Pölten, Austria, which closed its doors on April 13, Goodyear presented this range – and is now drawing positive conclusions.

Goodyear is the mobility partner for heavy construction site use and its products and solutions presented at MAWEV Show 2024 are designed to significantly increase the cost efficiency of fleets used on construction sites, drastically reduce their downtime and increase their competitiveness.
Self-Cleaning Traction Tyre
The Goodyear TL-4A is the traction tyre for large articulated dump trucks with a payload of 55 tons. With a tread depth level of 150%, it offers excellent traction on unpaved and loose surfaces and strong self-cleaning ability. The tyre offers long service life thanks to its high damage resistance and moderate heat development during heavy use. The radial construction increases ride comfort and ensures even tread wear and durability, while the high-strength steel belt construction protects the tyre from damage.
High Traction and Mileage
Specifically designed for wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks, Goodyear offers the GP-4D, the universal radial tyre with extra tread depth for improved traction on a variety of surfaces. The tyre, which is also designed for tandem axles, is highly suitable for off-road use and combines excellent forward, backwards and sideways traction with high wear resistance and smooth running, with its radial design reducing tread wear.
Truck Tyres for All Occasions
The OMNITRAC Heavy Dute tyre is specifically designed for tippers and other heavy trucks for both on and off-road use. The tyre offers a strong grip on muddy ground and slopes and is characterised by high durability, mileage and traction in all weather conditions. The robust tread design increases its damage resistance and ensures an even tread pattern. The DuraShield technology further prevents the belt package from damage and protects the carcass from corrosion.
Predictive Analysis at the MAWEV Show 2024
Goodyear also presented TPMS Heavy Duty at MAWEV Show 2024, a tyre pressure monitoring system specifically designed for construction machinery. The cloud-based solution combines telemetry with predictive analytics and reduces fleet downtime. By checking all tyre data, including pressure loss and overheating, fleet managers and drivers can identify potential problems before the vehicle breaks down.
The tyre data recorded by a sensor at each wheel position is transmitted via the mobile phone network to a server and evaluated there algorithmically. Fleet managers and drivers automatically receive alerts on their smartphone app. TPMS Heavy Duty enables tyre maintenance before tire-related vehicle failure, reducing repair costs and increasing fuel and CO2 efficiency as well as tyre performance and fleet safety.
