Acknowledging the diversity of road conditions, legislation and cross-country journeys, Nokian Tyres has extended its truck tyre selection with three additional tyre sizes covering its truck and bus range.

A heavyweight trailer, the new Nokian Tyres Hakka Truck Trailer tyre in size 275/70R22.5 is ideal for dual configuration for the heavier truck trailers. “We introduced the Nokian Tyres Hakka Truck Trailer range in the summer of 2021”, says Teppo Siltanen, Product Manager at Nokian Tyres. “The reception has been very positive among people who transport dangerous goods, liquids or bulk in the most challenging road and weather conditions.”
As well as smooth Rolling and excellent grip, “The new Nokian Tyres Hakka Truck Trailer tyre replaces the previous Nokian Tyres Hakka 844+ tyres”; adds Siltanen.
The next tyre, the Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta E2 now has a 275/70R22.5 size, which is suitable for extreme road conditions found in the Nordic and Alpine regions. A Winter truck tyre of the next generation in the drive axel position, the tyre reduces the need for chains while offering longevity, durability and low Rolling resistance.
“The new Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta E2 is a drive axle tyre for extreme winter conditions, such as in Norway and the Alpine region,” says Teppo Siltanen.
The final size on offer is the new Nokian Tyres E-Truck Trailer in the XL Tyre size 385/65R22.5. Suitable for load-bearing on Central European roads, as well in less severe Nordic conditions, the tyre can be used on Super Single truck trailers.
“The new Nokian Tyres E-Truck Trailer XL tyre size 385/65R22.5 enables an axle load of up to 10 tons. This means more efficient transports with bigger loads,” adds Siltanen.
Retreadable Tyres with Nokian Tyres
A notable feature of many commercial tyres by Nokian Tyres is the availability of compatible Noktop retreads. With their identical tread pattern and highly controlled curing process, the retreaded Noktop tyres offer properties that are very close to the original tyre. Noktop retreads are available for all Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta E2 and Nokian Tyres Hakka Truck Trailer tyre sizes and other most common tyre sizes.
