North Devon Tyres, a family-run business with over 40 years of experience in the industry, will become a distributor for Goodyear tyres, for its customers spanning 11 service depots across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
North Devon Tyres Returns to Selling Goodyear Farm Tyres
With Goodyear returning to the UK and European markets, North Devon Tyres has once again started distributing their agricultural tyres.
Trevor Veysey, managing director of North Devon Tyres, said: “It’s a real thrill to see Goodyear Farm Tires back on the market and we are delighted to be an official distributor. We have customers across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset and there has been plenty of interest in Goodyear’s return given its reputation for supplying excellent products at competitive prices.” He also added, “Our values of offering outstanding customer service fits in well with the ethos of Goodyear Farm Tires and, with around a third of our business being in agriculture, we see this as the start of a fruitful partnership in a key sector.”
Expansive Range of Tyres an Added Bonus for North Devon Tyres
Goodyear’s range of tyres – especially, the 85, 70, 65 and XL Tractor Drive radial tyres, as well as specific designs for sprayers, harvesters and industrial applications, are all the products in mind for North Devon Tyres. Plans are already in place to expand the offering in 2021, including the introduction of the R14T, a hybrid of agriculture, turf and industrial tread patterns.
Lindsay Hart, European Tyre Sales Director for Goodyear Farm Tires, said: “North Devon Tyres has extremely strong coverage across the southwest of England and we are delighted to have them on board as an official distributor. Despite the Coronavirus crisis, we have seen the demand for our products remain strong in 2020 and we have ambitious plans for 2021 and beyond. Our distribution network is constantly growing across Europe and we look forward to building on those strong foundations.”
Why Goodyear Returned to Europe
Titan International has been manufacturing Goodyear Farm Tires in America for more than a decade and purchased the licence for the European and UK markets. It has also made a significant investment in new plants and equipment to manufacture tyres specifically for the European market.
