Joining other major tyre manufacturers, Hankook will join the biannual Solutrans trade fair in Eurexpo, in Lyon, between 16 -20th November 2021. The fair, which specialises in road and urban transport solutions, will see Hankook’s showcasing its regional hybrid tyres – the SmartFlex AH51 and DH51 at booth 3B127.
Hankook Pulls out the Stops for Solutrans 2021
Hankook is attending Solutrans for the sixth consecutive time to present both its hybrid regional SmartFlex AH51 and SmartFlex DH51tyres, as well as its Alphatread retread offer. Hankook will also have tyres from its second brand, Laufenn, at the event, including the TBR tyres launched in 2020.
This year, Hankook is expanding its SmartFlex range with two new tyres: SmartFlex AH51 for the steering axle and SmartFlex DH51 for the drive axle. They cover a wide range of applications from regional traffic to last-mile distribution and long-distance use and transport site approach if required. They are usable all year round, thanks to the 3PMSF certification.
The tyres are innovative as they utilise Hankook's latest technology. The tread patterns have been developed to provide high grip and mileage performance while being fuel-efficient. At 40 per cent wear, the interlocking 3D sipes are revealed and enhance the rigidity of the tread blocks, maintaining high levels of grip and reducing rolling resistance. The so-called 'hidden' grooves appear when the tyre is 70 per cent worn and provide continuous wet traction and grip until the tyre is completely worn.
The sustainable SmartLife concept was used in the tyres' construction to ensure that the tyre is durable from the first to the last millimetre. Like modern Hankook truck tyres, the two new treads can be regrooved thanks to the additionally integrated rubber, which are, of course, retreadable. In addition, the SmartLife casing, plus Hankook retreading, ensures an increase in tyre life and mileage of up to 250 per cent and thus an increase in resource conservation and cost-efficiency.
Xavier Antressangle, Hankook National TBR Sales Director France and Maghreb, said of the event: "We are pleased to participate in this new edition and to introduce our offer, our services and our new tyres using our latest innovative technologies. We are keen to show that Hankook is a premium brand with quality products and services adapted to fleets. This event is an opportunity for us to meet our partners and to develop new professional relationships."
