Continental Roll Out Latest Portfolio at FIMA

Continental-FIMA

At FIMA this year, Continental presented its latest tyre range boasting its Very High Flexion technology for the agriculture tyre brands: TractorMaster and CombineMaster

New Technologies Unveiled by Continental at FIMA

Continental tyres with the VF specification has highly flexible sidewalls that allow the tyre to maintain good levels of durability and stability. The main advantage is the possibility of increasing by 40% the loading capacity at the same air pressure or maintaining the same loading capacity by reducing the air pressure by 40%. This has been made possible thanks to the optimised bead, belt and sidewall design. It is due to this that farmers can save time and fuel without compromising on production and durability.

The Continental VF TractorMaster Hybrid has been conceived to provide operators with the necessary technology to efficiently and effectively adjust the tyre pressure according to the corresponding tasl. Developed in Lousado, Portugal in a wide collaboration with other European research and development centres within the Continental group, the tyre has incorporated a new and exclusive hybrid design in the tread design that offers traction in the field and is more comfortable on the road.

The correct and regular control of tyre pressure is a critical facet in the safety and efficiency of the product during daily agricultural operations in order to save time and money. ContiConnect and ContiPressureCheck guarantees this safety and reliability for farmers and drivers by allowing them to constantly control the tyres's pressure and temperature. These systems show the data that the tyre sensors collect on the driver's screen in the cabin and advise them accordingly if a critical situation is upon them.

Continental has also launched a guarantee for its agricultural tyres in the EMEA region. The guarantee gives 10 years cover from the date of purchase and applies to all the radial agricultural tyres manufactured by Continental from the 1st of August of 2017 with the corresponding production code and with the logo "Engineered for Efficiency".

The guarantee covers from basic incidents up to damage in the field, from material and production defects up to damage caused by stubble and accidental damage in the field.

Continental additional presented its new agricultural application in the form of Agriculture TireTech. With the application, the company is trying to widen its service offering with another digital offering for end users, distributors, partners and yet further enhance its activities in the agriculture sector. The application has a load and tyre pressure counter and as a result delivers technical data to help achieve safety and efficiency when Continental's tyres are in use.
