Nokian Tyres announced its new Hakka City Bus tyre range, bringing durability and all-weather performance for modern urban needs.

New Nokian Bus Tyre Range

The Nokian Tyres Hakka City Bus tyre range is a part of the redesigned family of truck and bus tyres which combine Finnish design in order to meet the demands of modern transportation.

Nokian Tyres Hakka City Bus is designed to meet the requirements of today’s electric transport, where the drive axle tyres in particular must withstand heavy strain from frequent acceleration and braking. The new tyre range delivers good wear resistance and minimal heel/toe wear, which helps operators maintain cost efficiency without compromising safety or performance.

“This tyre features a new type of tread pattern with longitudinal centre sipes for good stability. It also has reinforced sidewalls and strong, solid shoulders. These features are essential for protecting the tyre when it gets scratched or hits curbs while driving,” says Teppo Siltanen, Senior Product Manager at Nokian Tyres.

The new tyre range is designed for the changing weather conditions in Central Europe, from warm summer roads to mild winter climates. It has low rolling resistance and noise level, which helps lower fuel expenses and improve ride comfort for bus passengers.

Nokian Tyres Hakka City Bus is available in size 275/70R22.5, and it is designed for all axles, has increased load capacity, with a load index allowing over 8,000kg steer axle weight. This tyre is also available for retreading with Noktop Hakka Bus tread intended for bus use.

Nokian Tyres is redesigning its entire line of truck and bus tyres, with significant changes coming. The tyres are now designed to meet the demands of modern transportation and traffic in the Central European market, offering improved safety, longer service life, lower rolling resistance, and enhanced driving comfort.

The tyres are designed in Finland and tested under different driving conditions, in both the cold north and the warm south, ensuring reliable performance in all weather conditions and environments.
