Tractor Registrations: December 2023 Overview

In December 2023, Spain saw a total of 1,013 tractor registrations, marking an 11.61% decrease compared to December 2022, when 1,146 units were registered. Throughout the year 2023, a total of 8,688 tractor units were registered, representing a 14.63% decrease from 2022, where 10,177 units were registered. Notably, Andalucia emerged as the region with the highest number of registrations, with 230 units, followed by Castilla y León with 142 units.

Automotive machinery registrations in December 2023 totaled 131 units, showing a decrease of 12.67% compared to December 2022, which recorded 150 units. Throughout the entirety of 2023, 826 units of automotive machinery were registered, reflecting an 8.53% decrease from 2022. Loading equipment registrations saw a notable decline in December 2023, with 73 units registered, marking a 24.74% decrease from the previous December.

However, there were areas of growth within the agricultural machinery segment. Collection equipment registrations experienced a significant increase, with 38 units registered in December 2023, representing a 52% uptick from the previous December. For the entire year of 2023, 532 units of collection equipment were registered, marking a 1.33% increase from 2022.

Suspended and Harvesting Equipment: December 2023 Analysis

In December 2023, 1,101 units of suspended and harvesting equipment were registered, showing a notable decrease of 26.11% compared to December 2022. However, for the entire year of 2023, 17,729 units of suspended and harvesting equipment were registered, indicating a 5.07% increase from 2022. Equipment for treatment recorded the highest number of registrations in December, with 376 units, though this marked a 20% decrease from December 2022. Throughout 2023, 6,057 units of treatment equipment were registered, reflecting a 12.37% decrease from 2022.

Despite these declines, sowing and planting equipment registrations saw a notable increase in 2023, with 1,353 units registered, representing a 35.44% uptick from the previous year. Similarly, ground equipment registrations experienced growth, with 3,530 units registered in 2023, marking a 20.77% increase from 2022.

The agricultural machinery market in Spain witnessed mixed trends in December 2023, with declines in some sectors countered by growth in others.
