Following on from the Yokohama Rubber announcement that it has acquired Trelleborg Wheel Systems, the Trelleborg Group has released an additional statement, expanding on the EUR 2,100 million acquisition.
Trelleborg Wheel Systems Acquired by Yokohama Rubber After Substantial Growth Period Through Trelleborg’s Leadership
In recent years, Trelleborg Wheel Systems has doubled in size, increased its profitability and incorporated several important acquisitions and strategic investments to become a leading force in the off-highway market.
The Yokohama Rubber Company, by incorporating Trelleborg, Mitas, Maximo, Culton and Interfit into its portfolio can now consolidate its position as a global supplier of agricultural, construction, material handling, mining and 2 wheels market segments.

Completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of the relevant authorities and is expected to be completed in the latter part of 2022. Trelleborg Group’s and Trelleborg Wheel Systems transaction teams will continue to manage the activities in the meantime.
