Automotive machinery and tractor registrations show decline in the last six months.

Spanish Registration Figures Fall in Spring

According to the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, the month of May saw a 4% drop in tractor sales, whereas the total registrations of agricultural machinery in general increased by 10%. A total of 2,681 machines were registered in May, compared to 2,771 in 2022, which represents a decrease of 3.25%.

In June,the registration of automotive machinery in Spain fell by 14%, with a fall in the registration of tractors of 8%, representing a 15% decrease so far this year. However, the registrations of towed machinery saw an increase of 43%, compared to the same period last year. Trailer registrations, on the other hand, fell by 29%.

Regarding the registration of agricultural machinery by autonomous community in June, Andalusia stands out with 162 registered machines, closely followed by Castilla y León with 104 and Catalonia with 85.
