Significant Jump in Tractor Registrations Reported in Spain During April

Tractor registrations continued to rise

In April 2024, Spain recorded 873 new tractor registrations, marking a significant increase of 41.72% compared to the same period last year, according to the latest figures released by the Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación. Year-to-date figures also show a positive trend, with 2,882 units registered, reflecting a 14.87% increase compared to the previous year. Notably, Andalucía led in tractor registrations with 213 units in April, followed by Galicia with 108 units, underscoring the regional variations in demand and agricultural activity.

Exploring the Latest Statistics on Tractor Registrations in Spain

The automotive machinery sector saw 155 new registrations in April, a notable year-on-year increase of 28.1%. However, year-to-date registrations stand at 491 units, representing a decline of 8.05% compared to the previous year. Within this sector, loading equipment registered 71 units in April, experiencing a 16% increase compared to last year. Andalucía and the Region of Murcia emerged as active regions, registering 34 and 33 units of automotive machinery, respectively, during the month.

April 2024 witnessed 1,448 units of harvesting and suspended machinery registrations, representing a modest year-on-year increase of 5.08%. Year-to-date registrations totaled 5,532 units, showing a decline of 10.33% compared to the previous year. Treatment equipment registrations amounted to 665 units in April, marking a 10% increase compared to last year, while collecting equipment registered 229 units, up by 20.5% year-on-year. Andalucía remained a prominent region in this sector, registering 289 units, with Castilla-La Mancha following with 214 units.
