After 17 years at PCL, Sales Director Simon Shorter has opted to retire from his directorial role for End User and OEM sales.

17 Memorable Years for Shorter

In 2005, Shorter joined PCL, having gained extensive expertise and experience in a variety of roles which he used to achieve substantial growth in sales and profitability for the Sheffield-based company. Since then, PCL has seen significant expansion in the international marketplace for its products, including setting up operations in markets including China, India and the US. As a result, PCL is now a brand with a recognised reputation as a supplier of quality, reliable and advanced tyre inflation and pneumatics equipment.

Shorter said of his decision to retire, “It has been an honour to work for such a traditional yet forward-thinking company. Taking the reins as Sales Director for the OEM division and collaborating with excellent people has allowed me to have built strong teams.”

Indeed, Simon’s knowledge has secured considerable product development in PCL’s core markets of tyre inflation, petrol forecourts, N2 and pneumatics. There has also been an increasing penetration in the aviation and non-tyre inflation areas. Shorter added that he was pleased to have worked to “develop overseas operations with the expertise required to continue driving the business forward.”
