Goodyear’s OTR production plant has received its second consecutive SQEP honour from Caterpillar as part of its work in Wittlich to have a “zero defects” culture in its operations.

Platinum Best Certification Possible for Caterpillar's Prestigious Rating System

Caterpillar created the Supplier Quality Excellence Process (SQEP) to recognise suppliers who commit to excellence and a non-defective culture in their business operations. Currently, the Wittlich plant in Germany supplies tyres for Caterpillar compact wheel loaders.

Octavian Velcan, managing director OTR and Aviation for Goodyear EMEA, spoke for all at Wittlich when he said: “It is especially rewarding to achieve the Platinum level of certification in these challenging times. The past two years have seen fluctuations in demand, evolving customer needs and a quest for further efficiency.”

He added, “Being awarded the highest SQEP certification by Caterpillar year after year showcases the drive of our teams to go the extra mile every day to deliver the highest quality under all circumstances.”
