Bridgestone’s Long Term Approach Secures Prestigious Fleet

Bridgestone’s long-term approach to demonstrating cost savings through its products and services secured a prestigious commercial fleet with MA & HV Medler.

Bridgestone Partnerships With Norwich-Based Haulage Experts

Bridgestone’s willingness to ‘go the extra mile’ to save money and free-up time was noted as being a key factor for MA & HV Medler, who are experts in General Haulage transporting bricks, blocks, roof tiles, insulation and general building materials with their tautliners and Moffett vehicles along with top soil and agricultural goods with bulkers and aggregate trailers. It operates more than 100 vehicles over the 3 centres with its HQ at Marsham, 90 per cent of which are trailer units, other vehicles such as Bulkers.

Aggregates and Moffetts now run on Bridgestone products. Simon Pegg, Operations Manager at MA & HV Medler stated that Bridgestone continually fought hard to keep costs down during the most challenging times. Jake Dale, the local representative introduced Bridgestone’s National Fleet Executive, Neil Collison and made everything seem effortless in relation to the Bridgestone Partner network and explained the benefits of working together concisely.

Bridgestone’s support and commitment impressed the most. They check all the removed tyres and ensure that their full-life has been reached. If the tyres have more miles left, they are repaired and returned for re-fitment. The company finds Bridgestone very flexible and always available and very attentive to any issues that may arise. The overall package that Bridgestone offered in terms of product and support along with the choice of service provider with the transparency of cost has been an experience that exceeded their expectations.

MA & HV Medler also utilises Bridgestone’sFleetBridgetyre reporting system, which provides transparency on the condition of every tyre on each vehicle. Bridgestone products opted for front steel axles and Firestone tyres for all drive axles and trailer fitment. The products have been used for many years and never once lets down and very dependable. The mileage return and wear-efficiency make extremely cost effective.

Bridgestone’s National Fleet Executive, Neil Collison also commented that, they know the team at MA & HV Medler really well and have built up a good understanding of the business and its needs. Bridgestone is able to support the fleet during the global pandemic and demonstrate a number of cost and time savings which resonated during negotiations. The company are also able to work as a team and in this regard, believes that it's one of the best in the business at Bridgestone.
