Magna Releases New Flotation Tyre for Agri Trucks and Trailers

Magna Tyres Group has announced the introduction of the new Magna 24R20.5 AG24 flotation tyre for agri trucks and trailers. Magna has developed this tyre size based on the well-known OBO Transport HD and the result is the Magna AG24, a good all-rounder for agri trucks and trailers.

The Magna AG24 has achieved the lowest cost per operating hour and maximum reliability were the starting points for the Magna experts to develop a tread pattern and compound. The product is long, robust and 24 mm high cleats in the centre, supported by the rubber compound, ensure the highest level of wear resistance. The product is transversely positioned and has rounded cleats in the shoulder to optimize the self-cleaning and improve rolling under severe conditions. The radial construction of the tyre offers optimized load performance, low rolling resistance and operator comfort.

The lowest cost per operating hour of the AG24 is achieved by the robust radial carcass. This tyre can carry 7.500 kg at 65 km/h and there is little risk for costly downtime. The carcass is also suitable for retreading and can last at least a second life, perhaps even a third tyre life.

The profile design is the balanced composition of best road and field performances. The

transversely positioned, sloping and widening cleats ensures impressive self-cleaning and therefore a much better rolling ability than conventional profiles.

The robust, elongated cleats in the centre of the tread make that the AG24 has minimal rolling

resistance. This is not only beneficial for low fuel consumption, but it also ensures that tread wear is

minimal. Finally, the 24mm high profile contributes to the long service life, which is the highest available in the market and the rubber compound that has been specially designed for long service life.
