Italian farmer and content creator Giulia Tonello of Omnitrattore is ready to invest in a second set of Alliance Agri Star II tractor tyres after more than two years of experience with the product on the farm.
Two Years of Testing
The current Alliance Agri Star II have been fitted to the farm’s Fendt 920 tractor for over two years, completing around 1,500 working hours across transport and field applications, including tanker and trailer work, milling and soil preparation.
“They have been mounted on our Fendt 920 for over two years and we are very happy with them,” said Tonello. “The tractor is used a lot for transport with a tanker and trailer, but also for milling and soil preparation with a 10-shank cultivator.”
Developed for modern agricultural operations, the Alliance Agri Star II features Stratified Layer Technology (SLT), designed to maintain traction performance throughout the tyre’s service life by revealing new lug geometry as the tread wears.
Tonello highlighted both comfort and traction as key factors in her experience, particularly given the tractor’s mixed road and field duties. “Driving comfort is definitely important, considering it is a big haulier,” she said. “But we must also say that the traction is truly excellent.”
Based on this experience, Tonello is now considering fitting Agri Star II tyres to the farm’s Fendt 412, which is mainly used for transport operations with a three-axle trailer and tanker. After consulting with Alliance technicians, she says the tyre matches the tractor’s requirements and offers a strong balance between performance and cost.
In a market where machinery investment decisions are becoming increasingly cautious, Tonello says choosing a proven product helps reduce risk. “If I already know the product, I know it is valid, works well and lasts a long time,” she said. “It certainly reduces costs by avoiding making the wrong choice with another type of tyre.”
For Tonello, the decision to purchase Agri Star II again comes down to proven performance: “Because I am happy with it, it meets the requirements of the work and has an excellent quality-to-price ratio.”
She added that the tyres provide confidence both in the field and on the road, supported by Alliance’s seven-year warranty.
