This year’s convention has gathered the associate’s suggestions, considering them as priorities for implementation.
BestDrive Maintains its Commitment to Quality as the Cornerstone of its Development Strategy
BestDrive, held its annual convention on March 11th under the slogan “The customer comes first” at the masía Les Comes, located in a splendid natural setting in the province of Barcelona.
On this occasion, the workshop network is committed to placing the customer at the core of its activity, providing products and services to meet their demands, as highlighted by ContiTrade’s CEO, Gonzalo Giménez, in his opening speech.
After reviewing the most important events of the year 2022, both at an economic and sectoral level, as well as the evolution of the network in different variables, Giménez also stressed the importance of continuing to focus on quality as the cornerstone of BestDrive’s growth strategy and a differentiating factor in the competitive market of and mechanics and tyre repair shop networks.
Once the ContiTrade CEO’s speech was over, the activities organised for the attendees began, and the convention became an experiential event with different activities such as working groups, dynamic tests or networking and product presentations. On each working group, the repair shops representatives led the teams and put forward their priorities and recommendations for the network to implement in the coming years, such as the development of the points of sale and the trainings, the digitalisation, as well as the promotion of the commercial vehicle network and the introduction of new marketing tools for end users.
The convention also provided a space for the network’s suppliers to showcase their new products in the most dynamic and attractive way. Thus, collaborators such as Cepsa, FQS, Modyf Würth, Agio Global and Serca had interactive spaces where they could present their proposals, giving the customer a leading role.
Continental had a prominent presence in this area, both with the Tyre division, with a presentation on new products for 2023, and the Aftermarket division, with the presentation of a wide range of products of interest to the network’s repair shops.
In between the workshops, attendees were able to enjoy dynamic off-road tests. One of these activities consisted of a short test drive where the performance of Continental Group tyres on difficult terrain was put to the test.
At the end of the day, ContiTrade’s general manager took the floor again to present the franchise’s plan for this year, where the proposals that emerged from the repair shops’ working groups were taken up as priorities.
The convention closed with a gala dinner, held at La Estación de Francia in Barcelona, during which several awards were presented, sponsored by Continental, Cepsa, Serca and FQS, as well as an honorary award to one of the first workshops to join the BestDrive network.
In the words of Gonzalo Giménez, CEO of BestDrive: “This year’s convention was really interesting and fruitful. We have been able to generate very useful proposals, which will help improve the relationship with our partners, according to their own criteria, as well as to implement solutions that will help to offer a higher quality service to end customers. This result is undoubtedly aligned with the motto of this edition: The customer comes first. We are convinced that this is the path that will make our network bigger and stronger”.
