Prometeon Tyre Group introduces three updated product lines for regional transport and demanding mixed on/off-road operations.
Tyres Developed for Demanding Mixed On/Off-Road Conditions
The latest additions are the Prometeon G02 Multiaxle AF, Prometeon Nextroad, and Prometeon Nextroad AF Multiaxle, extending the manufacturer’s Prometeon-branded truck tyre portfolio across more sizes, axle positions, and applications.
The introductions build on the wider roll-out of Prometeon-branded products and the development of a comprehensive commercial tyre range designed around the differing demands placed on trucks, depending on how and where they operate.
G02 Multiaxle AF: Traction and Durability Off-Road
For fleets working across demanding mixed on/off-road operations, the G02 Multiaxle AF combines traction and casing durability with the flexibility of steer- or drive-axle fitment. It is particularly suited to multi-axle vehicles that move regularly between the road and more demanding site conditions. These environments can expose tyres to cuts, stone penetration, heat build-up and irregular wear, all of which can shorten tyre life.
Functional sipes and transversal and lateral grooves maintain traction as the tyre wears, while stone ejectors and a revised central groove profile help protect the casing from trapped stones and perforation. The block design promotes regular wear and vehicle stability, while the shoulders aid belt cooling under severe operating conditions. The G02 Multiaxle AF is available in 10.00 R20, 11.00 R20, 11 R22.5 and 12.00 R20 sizes.
Nextroad Range: Mileage and Versatility for Regional Fleets
The Nextroad range targets regional haulage and distribution fleets, where high annual mileage, predictable wear, and dependable grip directly affect tyre cost per kilometre. Available in separate Multiaxle and Drive patterns, it delivers high mileage and casing integrity alongside consistent road holding in changing weather conditions.
On the Multiaxle tyre, four S-shaped grooves, robust longitudinal ribs, and a revised shoulder profile deliver excellent handling, braking, and regular wear. The Drive version combines a wider tread with deep lateral grooves and variable-width central grooves to maintain traction and wet grip, while promoting mileage and lower total cost of ownership. The Nextroad is available in 11 R22.5 and 12 R22.5 Sizes.
Prometeon has added the Nextroad AF Multiaxle, which gives regional fleets greater versatility from a single tyre pattern. Its multi-position capability allows fitment on steer or drive axles, helping operators rationalise tyre specification across vehicles while retaining the mileage, grip and wear performance required in regional service. Its four-groove tread and functional sipes are designed to maintain drainage, traction and regular wear across varying surfaces.
A patented variable-section central groove helps optimise contact pressure across the footprint, improving wear distribution and maintaining grip through the tyre’s service life. The Nextroad AF Multiaxle is available in 10 R22.5, 8.5 R17.5, 10.00 R20, and 11.00 R20 sizes.
Expanded Portfolio Supports Regional Fleet Performance and Durability
Steve Tift, Managing Director of Prometeon Tyre Group UK and Ireland, said, “The continued expansion of the Prometeon-branded portfolio is an important part of our development as a dedicated commercial tyre manufacturer. We are steadily extending the range across more sizes, axle positions and operating environments, giving fleets greater choice when matching the right tyre to the job.
“These latest additions broaden our offer across regional transport and demanding mixed on/off-road operations and represent another step in developing a comprehensive Prometeon product portfolio for commercial vehicle fleets of all types.”
Across all three new ranges, Prometeon uses several casing and compound technologies, including its Dual Layer Tread Compound, Fully Rubberised Cords, Super High Tensile Belt Cord and PRO Green Enduring Compound.
Together, these are designed to reduce heat build-up, maintain wet grip, strengthen the casing and support even wear and retreadability, helping fleets get more life from the tyre and reduce cost per kilometre. Together, the three ranges further extend the reach of the Prometeon-branded commercial tyre portfolio across different vehicles, markets and operating environments.
