Michelin’s new WORKXBIB trailer tyre delivers exceptional durability, stability and heavy-load performance for intensive on-road and field use, with up to 80% greater longevity than its predecessor.

Expanding Michelin’s Agricultural Trailer Tyre Range

Michelin has expanded its agricultural trailer tyre range by introducing the new MICHELIN WORKXBIB tyre for trailers and agricultural equipment. It targets tipping trailers, slurry tankers, manure spreaders, and other farm equipment.

Tom Saunders, Agricultural Beyond Road Customer Engineering Support Manager at Michelin, says, “In a sector marked by increasingly intensive road use and demanding field performance, we’ve developed the MICHELIN WORKXBIB for contractors and farmers.”

“Our latest fitment has a wide range of applications from public works and civil engineering through to haulage and livestock farming.”

Built for Heavy Loads and Intensive Road Use

MICHELIN WORKXBIB supports loads of up to 6,500kg at speeds of 65km/h (40mph)*. It is a counterpart to the MICHELIN TRAILXBIB, which incorporates Michelin’s patented Ultraflex technology for low soil compaction, within the manufacturer’s trailer and agricultural equipment tyre range.

Michelin engineered the new tyre to better meet the demands of trailer platforms. Developed through Michelin’s innovation, it combines endurance, high load capacity and reliability for intensive road use, along with a size range tailored to current vehicles.

Innovative Design, Tougher Tyre

MICHELIN WORKXBIB delivers a larger footprint and offers endurance and stability on the road, even under heavy loads and at high speed, thanks to a flat crown and reinforced, serrated shoulders.

With a steel-belted crown, robust carcass and bead area, and high-performance rubber compound, this new tyre offers enhanced puncture resistance. The serrated shoulders improve stability on sloping ground, and the large tread blocks enable self-cleaning to reduce maintenance needs.

Thanks to this innovative design, the new tyre can deliver up to 80% longer life** than the previous generation of Michelin trailer products.

For contractors and farm owners, this means fewer stops for tyre replacement and maintenance. It also means greater equipment availability and better-controlled operating costs.

For the replacement market, it will roll out the tyre range progressively, starting with the 600/55 R26.5 size in October 2026. Three additional sizes will follow in the second quarter of 2027: 650/55 R26.5, 600/60 R30.5, and 560/60 R22.5.

** Based on customer testing comparing MICHELIN WORKXBIB tyres with previous-generation Michelin trailer tyres (MICHELIN TRAILXBIB and MICHELIN CARGOXBIB HF) in size 600/55R26.5, used in agricultural trailer and slurry tanker applications with predominantly road use. Tests were conducted in France, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy. Results were obtained under specific test conditions. Actual tyre performance may vary according to operating conditions and usage.
