Bridgestone conducted a long-term fleet test of its Ecopia tyre range, in partnership with the Polish transport company Solidaris, showing high mileage, consistent performance, durability and cost-saving potential.
Ecopia Tyre Range Test
The test ran from June 2024 to April 2026 and involved 315/60 R22.5 Bridgestone Ecopia tyres operating in demanding long-haul conditions. Solidaris operates more than 200 vehicle combinations, including trucks used for international transport and ADR chemical transport, providing a demanding environment for evaluating tyre performance.
During the test, vehicles equipped with Bridgestone Ecopia covered distances of up to 290,000 kilometres, and, according to Solidaris, one of the tested tyre sets was still in service after approaching 300,000 kilometres, showing even tread wear and no signs of excessive wear.
“Such extensive testing confirms the exceptionally high durability of Bridgestone Ecopia 60-series tyres,” said Piotr Groeger, chairman of Solidaris Sp. z o.o. He added that the results showed the tyres could combine fuel efficiency with high mileage, potentially helping fleets reduce operating costs.
Bridgestone attributes the tyres’ performance to their construction, which incorporates spiral belt technology and a specially developed rubber compound, designed to distribute pressure evenly across the road surface and promote uniform tread wear.
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the Bridgestone Ecopia range for long-haul trucks is available in 10 sizes, covering dimensions from 295/80 R22.5 to 385/55 R22.5.
