Hankook has extended its contract with Borussia Dortmund as a “BVB Champion Partner” for two more seasons, entering its 18th consecutive season with the club and making it one of Hankook’s longest-running football sponsorships in Europe, beginning in 2009.

Hankook will continue to have a prominent presence at Germany’s largest football stadium, with 240 metres of LED perimeter advertising, exclusive branding displayed immediately before kick-off and visibility on the team buses. The tyres fitted to the Borussia Dortmund team buses will feature an exclusive white Hankook logo, with the buses set to carry the branded tyres throughout the new season, while fan competitions and other activations will also remain part of the partnership.

“I am particularly pleased that Borussia Dortmund’s team buses will continue to travel on Hankook tyres. At the same time, the expansion of our plant in Hungary to an annual capacity of up to 800,000 truck and bus tyres underlines our growth strategy in Europe and the high quality standards of our products,” said Manfred Zoni, responsible for overall sales at Hankook Reifen Deutschland.

“Seventeen years of partnership is no coincidence. A collaboration lasting this long is built on trust, reliability and a shared commitment to the highest standards of quality. BVB stands for emotion, enthusiasm and top performance – values that also define Hankook. We look forward to every further season alongside the Black and Yellows,” said Wonny Chung, Head of Marketing at Hankook Reifen Deutschland.

“This is more than a partnership; it is a genuine connection. Hankook understands what makes Borussia Dortmund special: the energy in the stadium, our closeness to the fans and our ambition to continually inspire them. Continuity like this is rare in football, which is precisely why it is so valuable,” said Carsten Cramer, Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund.
