The European Commission’s anti-dumping investigation concerning certain passenger car and light truck tyres is progressing towards the definitive stage, with a key deadline approaching.
Deadline Announced
Following the final disclosure phase, interested parties were invited to return comments on the European Commission’s findings by 7 May 2026, with the current timetable listing 7 July 2026 as the deadline for definitive measures.
The AD733 case, registered under the Commission’s Trade Defence Investigation system, concerns imports of certain new pneumatic rubber tyres for passenger cars and light trucks from China. Any definitive anti-dumping duties introduced following the investigation would replace the existing provisional measures (if applicable) and could have an impact on importers, distributors and tyre manufacturers operating within the European market.
