Prometeon has strengthened its relationship with long-standing customer Hutchinson Transport by becoming a sponsor of the company’s motorcycle racing team for the 2026 No Limits Racing CB500 Championship.
Supporting the Team for the 2026 Season
The partnership will see Hutchinson Transport Managing Director Rhys Hutchinson compete aboard a Prometeon-branded Honda CB500 throughout the national amateur racing series, which visits circuits including Donington Park, Snetterton and Cadwell Park before concluding in October.
Hutchinson, who began racing motorcycles at the age of 12 in the Aprilia Superteens series, returns to competitive racing this season after a break from the sport.
The sponsorship builds on an existing commercial relationship between the two companies. Prometeon has served as Hutchinson Transport’s sole tyre supplier since 2024, providing tyres for the company’s fleet of almost 40 trucks and 85 specialist chemical transport trailers. The agreement also includes access to Prometeon’s Pro Services tyre management programme.
Hutchinson Transport is a specialist operator in the hazardous chemicals sector and also runs commercial vehicle workshop operations across northern England.
Steve Tift, Managing Director of Prometeon UK and Eire, said: We’re delighted to be supporting Hutchinson Transport in this year’s No Limits Racing CB500 championship. The Hutchinson family are bike-racing enthusiasts, focused on top performance in all areas of their business and racing activities. Prometeon echoes that enthusiasm for competition and peak performance.”
Tift added that the sponsorship complements Prometeon’s wider involvement in motorsport, which includes support for the FIM Superbike World Championship, the GB Speedway Team and the Dakar Rally.
Rhys Hutchinson welcomed the company’s backing, describing the relationship as an important factor in both the racing programme and the continued development of the transport business.
“It’s been a really positive journey working with Prometeon over the past two years. Our vehicles can cover over 90,000km a year on demanding trunking operations and tyre performance has been excellent.”
“The technical support from Prometeon’s account management and engineering teams has also been outstanding. We have ambitious plans for the further growth of our business, and we know with Prometeon, we have a true partner on the journey,” he added.
The 2026 No Limits Racing CB500 Championship runs through to 11 October, with the final round scheduled to take place at Donington Park National.
