PRINX Chengshan has recently announced it has successfully produced its first 30.00R51 Off-the-Road (OTR) tyre, marking the company’s formal entry into the large mining tyre segment.

PRINX Chengshan produced its first 51-inch tyre in its newly developed OTR manufacturing facility, where company management and local authorities witnessed the roll-off of the first tyre, underlining the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its product portfolio across all segments.
The 30.00R51 is the largest OTR tyre produced by PRINX Chengshan to date and reflects its growing technical capability in the development and manufacture of large-dimension mining tyres. With this addition, PRINX Chengshan joins a limited number of manufacturers producing tyres for ultra-large mining equipment.

Designed for use on ultra-large rigid dump trucks operating in open-pit mining environments, the 30.00R51 has an outer diameter of nearly three metres and weighs approximately 1.8 tonnes. The tyre incorporates a tread pattern and cooling structure developed to support traction, heat dissipation and performance stability under high loads, to support operational safety and durability in demanding conditions.
Construction of the PRINX Chengshan OTR manufacturing facility began in 2025 in response to increasing demand from the infrastructure and mining sectors. The project represents an investment of more than RMB 1.1 billion and covers over 100,000 square metres. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to have an annual production capacity of 84,000 engineering tyres and 10,000 Giant OTR tyres for use in mining, construction, ports, airports, agriculture and industrial applications.
The facility incorporates automated production processes, digital manufacturing systems and energy-efficiency measures, including rooftop solar power generation. These features reflect PRINX Chengshan’s application of Industry 4.0 manufacturing concepts and its approach to reducing environmental impact.
