Today, Nokian Tyres has announced that it has concluded the personnel negotiations in Finland, which involved white-collar employees in Group functions and all business units, as well as both blue- and white-collar employees in passenger car and heavy tyre production in Nokia, Finland.
Personnel Negotiations at Nokian Tyres
The personnel negotiations at Nokian Tyres will lead to the termination of 35 permanent white-collar positions. In addition, restructuring of tasks will take place, and the measures will be implemented by the end of 2025. At the beginning of the negotiations, the number of possible permanent layoffs in Finland was estimated to be 55.
The adjustment measures also include temporary layoffs of approximately 650 blue-collar and white-collar employees in passenger car and heavy tyre production in Nokia, Finland, for a maximum period of 90 days per person by the end of 2026. The negotiations in Finland were part of an entity aimed to improve financial performance and operational efficiency, which the company announced on October 28, 2025. Negotiations or other necessary processes have been carried out in other countries in accordance with local legislation. Measures in other countries will continue as necessary.
