Bohnenkamp SE to Acquire SAS COPADEX at the End of the Year

Bohnenkamp SE

Bohnenkamp SE has signed an agreement to acquire the business shares of the French wholesale company SAS COPADEX at the end of the year.

The Acquisition

Gregor Rüth, CEO of Bohnenkamp SE, along with the COPADEX owner Bruno Clairay, announced the acquisition after the contract signing.

SAS COPADEX, based in Châlette-sur-Loing, around 100 kilometres south of Paris, has been active in the French market since 1980. The company serves as a partner in the original equipment and replacement markets for agricultural and commercial tyres and wheels. With around 80 employees and a warehouse area of approximately 30,000 square metres, COPADEX supplies its customers with a wide range of well-known brands.

Bohnenkamp SE was founded 75 years ago in Osnabrück and is now a wholesaler for tyres and wheels in the off-highway and transport sectors. With the acquisition of COPADEX, Bohnenkamp is now also entering Europe’s largest agricultural market. “COPADEX is a well-established company with an experienced, dedicated team that truly knows and lives its market. This knowledge and passion are an excellent foundation for joint growth,” explains Gregor Rüth.

For the owners, the Clairay family, the future of the company and its employees was central to the succession decision. “COPADEX was founded by my father in 1980. For me, it was a matter close to my heart to set the course for a stable and sustainable future early on,” explains Bruno Clairay. “In our discussions with Bohnenkamp, we quickly realised that we share not only a similar product portfolio but also the same values and corporate culture. I am convinced that the location and team within the Bohnenkamp Group are excellently positioned to achieve the successful development, and I will continue to support the company on this path as Managing Director. “

Together with the French team, Bohnenkamp aims to expand its market presence in France in the long term.
