Tyron Runflat advances tyre safety by boosting testing speeds to 250km/h and partnering with European Special Forces.
Raising Industry Testing Standards
Tyron Runflat, maker of the world’s only multi-piece rubber Runflat, leads industry testing with expanded capabilities. This testing has resulted in its latest partnership with a European Special Forces organisation.
Tyron Runflat, known for its innovative tyre safety systems, is paving the way for rapid improvements in industry testing capabilities by increasing the testing speed for its rubber runflats and bands to 250km/h. This is a massive increase from the often-quoted 150km/h limit in the industry.
Expanding Global Testing Facilities and Life-Saving Capabilities
Peter Simson, Director at Tyron Runflat, commented, “This is a huge step forward for us. Earlier this year, we announced the expansion of our testing facility in Pattaya, Thailand, south of Bangkok, as part of our ongoing mission to increase the scope and scale of our testing capabilities.”
“This 3000 sqm factory was specifically built to meet the growing demand for the Tyron product, enabling us to expand our testing offering and ensure we’re providing ever-evolving systems with ever-improved life-saving potential. Internal testing is, of course, independently validated by external test facilities in Europe.”
“Our multi-bands are used extensively across the blue light and defence industries, which means there is no room for error. Our bands can be the difference between life and death, especially in a high-speed pursuit or life-threatening war zone – and our key focus is to ensure a tyre blowout doesn’t cost lives.”
Strategic Partnership with European Special Forces
Mohamed Elnady, Business Development Director at Tyron Runflat, added, “Our latest testing innovations have created green shoots and new partnerships across the globe, including a new relationship with a high-profile European Special Forces organisation.”
“Testing is a vital element in the production of any product, which means we pride ourselves on investing in our trial and test facilities to guarantee we remain at the forefront on innovation in our sector. This is an exciting chapter for us as we develop this high-profile partnership, which means this specialist organisation can ensure their force remains safe and vehicles can withstand very high-speed pursuits.”
Tyron Runflat works extensively across the defence, emergency services, commercial, leisure, and civilian vehicle industries worldwide and delivers market-leading tyre safety solutions, including the Tyron Multi-Band. This product keeps the tyre attached to the wheel in the event of a blowout or puncture, helping drivers reach a place of safety.
