The light commercial vehicle market in Sweden has been declining for 12 months in a row, as of April 2025. Mobility Sweden reported 2,511 LCV registrations in April 2025, which is 33.5% less compared to the same period last year. From January 2025 to April 2025, the decline reached 28%, with 10,179 units registered. The weak outcome largely reflects the continued decline in the construction industry, Mobility Sweden reports. LCVs produced by Volkswagen, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Renault recorded the highest numbers of registrations in Sweden in April 2025.

Heavy truck registrations declined by 8% in April 2025, with 472 new units registered. From January 2025 to March 2025, the number declined by 4%, with 1,678 new registrations. Scania, Volvo, DAF, Mercedes-Benz and MAN were among the most purchased heavy trucks in Sweden in April 2025.

Bus registrations increased by 140% in April 2025, with 139 vehicles registered. The number also increased by 174% from January 2025 to March 2025, with 513 units registered during that period.
