Goodyear has presented the latest version of Goodyear CheckPoint, the connected, depot-based tyre monitoring solution.

Goodyear CheckPoint Updates Boost Tyre Monitoring and Business Growth

The updated drive-over system features new enhancements and advanced tread depth measurement technology, adding value beyond traditional tyre management. Goodyear’s updated solution helps transport companies and service partners grow their business and improve operational efficiency.

At IAA Transportation 2024, Goodyear presented selected CheckPoint enhancements. This included a modular tread depth sensor and innovative optical technology for greater robustness, precision, and ease of maintenance. Building on this foundation, the Goodyear CheckPoint updates support proactive and preventative maintenance, promotional service measures, and efficient workshop operations.

New Features Boost Goodyear CheckPoint Efficiency and Growth

Goodyear has equipped Goodyear CheckPoint with new features that increase operational efficiency, improve customer interaction, and create new business opportunities.

  • Live Display* (Goodyear FleetHub): Technicians can easily display the latest tyre measurements in the workshop on any connected external screen, using a new, clearer layout. This new feature is available in the Goodyear FleetHub web application. It allows technicians to immediately identify actions to be taken, and dealers can convert traffic into leads. Customers and prospects, in turn, can conveniently access the results screen data on their smartphone by scanning a QR code, which is ideal for quick insights at service points or customer service counters.
  • Unregistered Vehicle Detection: With Goodyear CheckPoint, users can now monitor the tyre condition of vehicles that are not yet registered in their Goodyear FleetHub application and are located outside their customer network. This opens up new opportunities for dealers, service providers, and transport companies to generate awareness among potential leads, promote their services, and demonstrate the value of the system to potential customers.
  • Fleet Overview Report: A new fleet-level report provides users with a detailed overview of tyre condition per vehicle, axle, and wheel position. As a result, tyre condition insights enable customers to make data-driven decisions and develop their own KPIs. Plus, they can implement more structured planning to promote efficient operations.
  • Integrated tools for connected fleet operations: Goodyear has fully integrated CheckPoint with its FleetHub, DriverHub, and FleetOnlineSolutions applications, ensuring direct access to alerts, reports, and historical data. This connected ecosystem enables smarter, more proactive tyre and vehicle maintenance. Therefore, supporting safety, efficiency, and business growth across the entire transportation value chain.

Goodyear CheckPoint Goes Beyond Fleets

“The enhanced version combines key hardware and software implementations. It builds on a concept we introduced last year to extend the use of Goodyear CheckPoint beyond fleets and expand the application capabilities,” says Patricia Azzoni, Product Manager at Goodyear.

“Dealers and service providers now have even more options for expanding their daily business. By leveraging the latest data, they can differentiate their service offerings and attract new customers.”

*Live Display is available through Goodyear FleetHub. Goodyear does not include display devices in its offering. The timing of vehicle and tyre data depends on mobile coverage and transfer to the Goodyear Cloud (FleetHub). The system may not display results immediately.
