Tiresur is expanding its truck and bus (TBR) tyre catalogue with the new Celestis CUC from JK Tyre, designed to improve overall operational costs.
New Celestis CUC
Celestis CUC features a Semi-Lug tread pattern that allows it to be fitted in any position on a vehicle, enabling use across all axles, Tiresur stated. This design helps fleets reduce the number of different tyre types required in stock, potentially lowering inventory investment and simplifying logistics.
A new member of the Tiresur T BR catalogue is fully homologated for use on steering and drive axles on rigid trucks, articulated trucks and buses, offering a single solution for multiple commercial vehicle applications. Durability and retreadability are central to the Celestis CUC’s design. Its structure incorporates advanced thermal management features, including a deep buttress window that supports improved cooling during long-distance operation, helping protect the tyre’s internal components. The tyre is also designed with an under-tread rubber compound that supports multiple retreads, extending the tyre’s service life and improving lifecycle value for fleet operators.
The range covers several widely used commercial sizes, including 13R22.5, 315/80R22.5 and 385/65R22.5. The 385/65R22.5 version is designed for high-load applications and offers a load capacity of up to 5,000 kg with a load index of 164/158.
