For Continental Tyres, 2025 marked another year of success, innovation and progress across the commercial vehicle sector. Featuring everything from a host of breakthrough product launches to award-winning safety recognition and industry-shaping campaigns, the business continued to strengthen its reputation as a pioneer in tyre technology, sustainability and fleet support.
A year of product innovation
Continental expanded its portfolio with several major product introductions, each designed to address evolving customer needs across long-haul, regional and urban transport.

The headline launch was the Conti Coach HA 5, the first model in the new Coach Generation 5 line, tailored specifically for long-distance and intercity travel. With exceptional mileage, best-in-class rolling resistance and confident all-weather safety, it raised the bar for comfort, efficiency and durability.
Sustainability and electric mobility readiness took centre stage with the debut of the Conti Urban HA 5 NXT at Busworld Europe in Brussels. As Continental’s most advanced city bus tyre to date, it is constructed using up to 60 per cent renewable, recycled and ISCC PLUS mass-balance-certified materials. With 25 per cent lower rolling resistance and a remarkable 15 per cent mileage improvement over its predecessor, it supports e-bus range extension without compromising grip or safety.

The VanContact A/S Eco also made its debut – an all-season van tyre that achieved the highest possible EU label ratings (A/A/A). Offering reduced energy consumption, lower CO₂ emissions and compatibility with electric vans, it embodies Continental’s commitment to resource efficiency and the changing demands of modern fleets.
Innovation was further strengthened through Bandvulc’s Regiomaster range, with the BDR5 tyre providing an ideal solution for long-distance and regional routes. Its self-stabilising rib-block tread pattern delivers excellent traction while reducing wear to extend mileage. Combined with a balanced polymer rubber compound, the BDR5 offers strong on- and off-road performance, delivering versatility across a wide range of operating conditions.

Bandvulc’s on- and off-road construction tyre range (further broadened in 2025 with the arrival of the BDG5 and BTG5 tyres) continued to showcase its specialist capabilities. Tyres in the range combine confident on-road handling with robust structures and aggressive tread designs for demanding off-road work. Manufactured using a bespoke high-polymer rubber compound, these tyres offer increased damage resistance, deliver superior grip and perform reliably from quarry to road.
Award-winning commitment to safety
Continental’s longstanding dedication to health and safety was recognised at the 2025 RoSPA Awards, where the company secured four accolades. Continental’s Rugby-based warehouse achieved its fourth Gold Award for Health & Safety, while Continental Group Logistics earned top honours in the RoSPA Fleet Safety category on its first entry. R&J Strang, Continental’s tyre service and maintenance provider, also collected two awards: Gold for Fleet Safety and Silver for Health & Safety.
Launch of the Respect for Retreads campaign
The year also saw the launch of Respect for Retreads, a national education campaign designed to challenge persistent misconceptions around retread tyres. With two-thirds of surveyed fleets still avoiding retreads due to perceived quality concerns, the campaign will continue into 2026, using guides, videos, myth-busting content and new research to rebuild confidence and encourage more sustainable tyre choices.
Customer success stories

Continental’s impact was further reflected in powerful customer testimonials. The Collard Group reported a 50 per cent reduction in blowouts since adopting the ContiLifeCycle retread programme, while its long-term partnership with Cemex continues to thrive, with Continental serving as Cemex’s exclusive UK tyre solutions provider across both new and retread products, supported by full deployment of the ContiPressureCheck monitoring system.
Supporting the industry through training
As one of the UK’s largest tyre and service providers, Continental continued to deliver market-leading training, support and technical expertise through the industry-renowned ContiAcademy training facility – helping fleets raise standards, improve safety and awareness and optimise tyre performance.
Looking ahead to 2026
The year ahead promises further momentum, with several new products joining the lineup, starting with the launch of Bandvulc’s Deliverymaster 5 – a next-generation drive tyre engineered for regional LGV fleets travelling in urban retail environments.
Early 2026 will also see the arrival of the Conti Hybrid HT5, featuring dual-compound technology and a triangular belt structure for superior durability, efficiency and mileage. Meanwhile, the Conti MPT91 tyre – available in two sizes – will provide high-traction, high-load capability and outstanding resilience for demanding off-road environments.
Continental will also continue to monitor upcoming regulatory changes, including those surrounding Euro 7 requirements, ensuring customers remain informed and fully supported as the landscape evolves.
