Two strategic appointments mark a significant expansion of Prometeon’s UK organisation, demonstrating a commitment to growth and market development.
Prometeon Tyre Group Strengthens UK Team With Key Appointments
Prometeon has announced two key appointments within its UK team as the company continues to expand and reinforce its market presence. These strategic moves demonstrate Prometeon’s commitment to strengthening its support for customers and enhancing partnerships across the UK and Ireland.
The new appointments are:
- Emma Hawley – Chief Financial Officer (CFO), UK & Eire
- Darren Heywood – National Account Manager
Prometeon further bolsters its leadership and sales teams with these appointments, bringing extensive industry experience and deep knowledge of the UK tyre market.
A Remarkable Journey
Emma Hawley has been with Prometeon for eight years and has had a remarkable journey. Starting as a part-time senior credit controller, she has steadily risen to her new position as CFO. Her background in finance and understanding of Prometeon’s business model make her well-positioned to drive the company’s commercial strategy. Additionally, her promotion marks an essential step in diversifying the senior leadership team.
“I’ve always felt valued and supported at Prometeon, and I’m looking forward to contributing further to the company’s outstanding performance,” Hawley commented.
A significant milestone is her simultaneous appointment as a company director. She is currently the only female director in Prometeon’s UK leadership. This brings diversity and a fresh perspective to the senior management team.
“Being appointed as a director is a great opportunity,” said Hawley.
“It’s a testament to the company’s belief in my abilities and the value I can bring to the organisation at a strategic level.”
Darren Heywood steps into the role of National Account Manager after eight years as a regional BDM. His success in the Southwest makes him ideal to manage national fleet accounts and drive new business opportunities.
“Prometeon is like family to me, and I’m excited to take on this new challenge,” Heywood said. “I’ll be focusing on expanding our national accounts and building strong partnerships with fleet operators across the country.”
New Structure for National Accounts
The Prometeon National Accounts department specialises in managing large or complex fleets with multiple touchpoints across the country. With the addition of Heywood to the national accounts team, Prometeon can expand its offering and strengthen its field presence. He will help fulfil customers’ unique tyre management needs by organising nationwide solutions.
“My role in the National Accounts team is all about building and maintaining that crucial three-way relationship—between Prometeon, the tyre dealers, and the end customer,” explains Heywood.
“The National Accounts team is focused on delivering tailored tyre solutions to major fleet operators, ensuring they have the right products, support, and performance insights to maximise efficiency. This year, our priority is strengthening partnerships, optimising service levels, and driving innovation in tyre management to help customers reduce costs and improve sustainability.”
Commenting on the new appointments, Steve Tift, Managing Director of Prometeon Tyre Group UK, said,
“These appointments reflect our commitment to recognising talent and investing in our team. Emma and Darren both bring significant expertise, and their contributions will be instrumental in driving Prometeon’s continued success in the UK market.”
The appointments come at an exciting time for Prometeon. Following the recent launch of its own-branded Serie 02 tyres, the company continues to expand its portfolio.
