Point S UK Bolsters Team as Network Continues to Grow

Andrew Brooks, David Flood, Luke Ashford and Scott Jones from Point S UK

Point S UK has strengthened its team with key appointments, including a new Logistics Manager, Sales Manager (South), and two Business Development Managers to enhance nationwide coverage. While other networks contract, Point S is expanding its member base and positioning itself to become the UK’s largest independent automotive service provider, driven by industry shifts and EV adoption.

Strategic Appointments Strengthen Nationwide Presence Amid Industry Shifts

Point S Tyre & Autocare has made a series of senior appointments, bolstering its presence across all quarters of the UK, as it looks to make good on its aim to become the largest independent automotive service network by 2035.

Andrew Brooks now leads the network’s logistics operations while David Flood serves as Sales Manager South. Luke Ashford and Scott Jones drive business development in the southwest and north, respectively.

All four recruits bring considerable automotive and aftermarket experience to the organisation, and ensure that Point S UK has significant representation across the country.

During a year that has seen many franchised networks suffer from network reduction, Point S UK has bucked the trend by achieving growth, both in its member base and its services and personnel. Since Ali Yilmaz joined the network as Managing Director at the beginning of 2025, the network has considerably increased its member base and built a team that can achieve its ambitious growth targets.

New Leadership Reinforces Point S UK’s Ambitious 2035 Vision

The strategic expansion comes at what Yilmaz describes as a “fertile planting ground” for growth, particularly as competitors exit the market and independent repair centres evolve their business models in response to electrification challenges. With electric vehicles requiring less mechanical servicing, many workshops are focusing on tyres, diagnostics, and other forms of vehicle maintenance as their future profit centres.

Point S UK’s timing is opportune, with the independent sector already representing approximately one-third of the UK market and continuing to grow as automotive service needs shift toward more specialised maintenance offerings.

Yilmaz commented, “The key to a high-performing business is an engaged, empowered, and high-performing team. With these recent appointments, together with our current team of experts, we’ve laid the infrastructure we need to achieve our growth goals.”

“Independents are currently thriving in a very challenging marketplace, and this is largely due to the exceptional levels of service, professionalism, and honesty they have become known for over decades in the industry. We are committed to supporting these unsung heroes of the UK aftermarket through the strength, breadth, and contacts of a national network, backed by international credentials.”
