According to the latest vehicle market report by Mobility Sweden, November registrations were quite weak when it comes to heavy truck and light commercial vehicles (LCV).

Vehicle Market in Sweden: November 2025

During November, Mobility Sweden reported  2,916 new LCVs, representing a 2% decrease. So far this year, LCVs have declined by 14%. The share of new fully electric light commercial vehicles was 26.5% in November and 23% year-to-date. Plug-in hybrids have performed strongly this year and accounted for 7% of new vehicles in November. Volkswagen, Ford and Mercedes-Benz were the top 3.

A total of 418 new heavy trucks were registered in November, which represents a 12% decrease compared with the same month last year. Over the first 11 months of the year, heavy truck registrations have declined by 5%. The share of electric heavy trucks reached 10% in November and 7% year-to-date. Scania, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz were the top 3.

“Despite an increased range of electrified heavy trucks, the downturn in the economy and low fossil fuel prices are hindering progress. We now need policy measures that encourage transport buyers to choose electric transport,” explained Mattias Bergman, CEO of Mobility Sweden.

Bus registration levels are approaching the highest numbers in 50 years, with a total of 150 registrations in November 2025, over a 50% growth compared to the same period last year. So far this year, the number of new buses has almost tripled, explained by improved delivery capacity following disruptions in 2024 and by procurements within regional public transport. Six in 10 of the new buses in November were electric, and nearly half of all buses registered this year. MAN, Mercedes-Benz and Solaris were the top 3.
