From 5 to 8 November, Michelin will be presenting its products at TransportCH at the BERNEXPO exhibition centre, showcasing tyres, digital fleet and tyre management solutions, as well as services to improve efficiency, sustainability and productivity.
More than a Tyre
“Our trade fair motto is ‘More than a tyre.’ It reflects that Michelin is the right partner for the transport sector. Our products and solutions reduce total operating costs, boost productivity, and make a significant contribution to more sustainable transport with a better CO₂ footprint. This helps our Swiss customers remain competitive in the long term,” said Pellegrino Luongo, Managing Director of Michelin Suisse SA.
On stand A026, Hall 1.2 at TransportCH, Michelin will show how its digital fleet and tyre management solutions help customers use their resources more efficiently. Such solutions can reduce fuel consumption by up to 12%, therefore reducing CO2 emissions as well, while preventing up to 80% of tyre-related breakdowns. This further increases fleet productivity and utilisation while enhancing drivers’ and cargo safety.
Michelin will also present its More-Life concept. The MICHELIN REMIX 2 retreading process combines low operating costs, performance, and resource conservation for transport companies. Tyres retreaded using MICHELIN REMIX 2 can reduce cost per kilometre by up to 33%, thanks to double retreading and triple re-grooving, allowing the tyres’ mileage to reach up to 375% compared with tyres that are not retreaded or re-grooved (100%). REMIX 2 tyres maintain the same quality standards as new MICHELIN tyres in terms of handling, traction, and grip.
In terms of resource conservation, the REMIX 2 process reduces the tyre’s environmental footprint, cutting CO₂ emissions by up to 115 kilograms and saving material. In cooperation with DEKRA France, Michelin issues certificates for CO₂ and material savings across the DACH region to support more sustainable tyre management. These certificates are aimed at fleet customers implementing a sustainability strategy and can, for example, be used in tender processes.
