Infinity Tyres has been announced as the winner of the 2013 Tyre and Fast-Fit (TAFF) award in the Industry Advertising Campaign category, hosted by the National Tyre Distributors Association at its 84th annual dinner.
The TAFF awards recognise the pinnacle of achievement within
the tyre industry and are always fiercely contested. The 2013 ceremony was no exception with Infinity Tyres holding off strong rivals Dunlop, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli to win its first ever TAFF trophy.
The accolade for ‘Industry Advertising Campaign’ highlights the very best in
Infinity Tyres have announced the forthcoming launch of Ecovantage, a new tyre range for van and light truck applications. The launch forms part of a review of the whole of the Infinity range of passenger and light commercial tyres and is accompanied by the introduction of Ecopioneer, a tyre designed for compact and commuter cars and Enviro, the new Infinity SUV tyre range.
A select group of tyre designers and engineers has spent over two years ensuring these new
products reach the highest performance standard. As with all Infinity passenger tyres, the new tyre models are fully compliant with European legislation as well as addressing EU tyre labelling regulations.
In designing the efficiency- optimised Ecovantage, the key aim was to ensure that the tyre’s strength was sufficiently reinforced to provide superb load-bearing capabilities. Its three circumferential grooves have been designed to provide improved resistance to aquaplaning and Ecovantage also benefits from new silica compound technology for improved wet grip and handling whilst, at the same time, providing excellent tread life. The tyre’s tread design and block placement have been optimised for drive comfort and reduced tyre noise.
Eleven sizes of tyre are currently under development for the Ecovantage range in 14” 15” and 16” wheels diameters.

Infinity Looks to OTR and Agri Markets
Having already made significant progress in the car and truck segments, Infinity Tyres, the subsidiary of the Dubai based Al Dobowi Group, is now casting its eye towards the OTR and agricultural tyre markets. According to Harjeev Kandhari, Executive Director of Al Dobowi, the OTR and agricultural sectors are interesting in that they offer opportunities for new entrants into the market due to a lack of players filling the gap in the market below the leading global manufacturers.
