TWS acquisition gets the go-ahead from competition authorities

The acquisition of TWS by Yokohama has been subject to scrutiny by European and British competition authorities.

TWS Sale Clears Legal Hurdle

Yokohama Rubber Company has now received clearance from all relevant authorities, including the British Competition and Markets Authority, to acquire Trelleborg's business area Trelleborg Wheel Systems. The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2023.

Trelleborg Group consists of three business areas – Trelleborg Industrial Solutions, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions and Trelleborg Wheel Systems.  It is the Trelleborg Wheel Systems operastion that the Group has decided to divest itself of.

With these approvals, Yokohama and Trelleborg can begin finalising the necessary documentation required to formally close the transaction.
