The extended range of Michelin X MULTI HD Z tyre is regroovable and retreadable using the Michelin Remix process

The Michelin X MULTI HD range (HD is the acronym for Heavy Duty or "Hard Works"), with truck tyres that stand out for their versatility, long life, optimal grip and low cost per kilometre, will be extended from October 1

Michelin X MULTI HD Z: the Multi-Purpose Truck Tyre for Hard Work

The new Michelin X MULTI HD Z, is designed mainly for steering axles in the 315/70 R 22.5 dimension, thus completing the already existing offer for the X MULTI HD D driving axle. The 315/80 R 22.5 dimension will be available from March 2023.

As a result of the application of innovations and technologies patented by Michelin, this new tyre allows carriers to gain in performance and safety, contributing to the reduction of operating costs for companies.

Michelin X MULTI HD Z provides maximum robustness with excellent durability and guidance precision on short and medium-distance routes on all types of roads, even on unpaved accesses to loading and delivery points in rural areas. Its main characteristics are the following:

  • Robustness and durability: up to 30% more resistance than the previous range (Michelin X MultiWay 3D XZE), thanks to a compact tread pattern with wide shoulders and lugs without transverse sipes and with a profile that reduces stone retention. The high resistance of the carcass and structure, the INFINICOIL and POWERCOIL technologies, and a specific rubber compound that allows the best balance between durability, grip, rolling resistance and resistance to aggressions also contribute to the robustness and durability.

  • Profitability: it offers the carrier a reduction in their operating costs, exceeding the kilometric yield of Michelin X MULTI Z in severe conditions of use and with a duration similar to Michelin MULTI Energy Z in non-severe conditions of use.

  • Safety and mobility: like the entire Michelin X MULTI range, the new Michelin X MULTI HD Z tyre has the 3PMSF certification and the M+S marking, which guarantees a high level of grip in any weather condition, providing the maximum grip all year round, with a level C wet grip on the European label.

In addition, and in line with the Group's "Everything Sustainable" strategy, the new Michelin X MULTI HD Z tyre is regroovable and retreadable using the Michelin Remix process, which further optimises companies' costs and minimises environmental impact. , reducing the consumption of natural resources and the carbon footprint.
