Federcom Figures for August Show Dutch Market is Still Recovering

Slight uptick in agricultural sales belies underlying year-to-date lag

Agricultural tractor sales in the Netherlands show some signs of recovery, but still a way to go

Dutch Agricultural Sales Still Recovering

According to Federcom, overall agricultural tractor sales in the Netherlands showed an uptick in August 22 compared to the previous year, with 177 vehicles sold compared to 159 in August 2021. This monthly figure is on par with pre-pandemic figures for 2017 and 2018, but higher than the 2019 figures pre-pandemic, which would suggest that the Agri-economy in the Netherlands has recovered somewhat.

However, the cumulative total stands at 1467, behind the year-to-date figures of 1587 and 1533 for 2021 and 2020 respectively and still well below pre-pandemic figures. So, as seems to be the case with registrations at the moment, there is good and bad news to be found in the statistics.
