Yokohama Rubber has released a statement expressing its sympathy for Ukraine and the neighbouring countries to those affected by the conflict. As a result, Yokohama Rubber and its employee-backed YOKOHAMA Magokoro Fund will provide humanitarian aid to the victims.
Yokohama Rubber to Donate Through Japanese Red Cross Society and the Japanese Federation of UNESCO Associations
JPY 50 million will be donated to Ukrainian refugees, which is over EUR 370,000. The company’s contribution will be JPY 49 million, with the Magokoro Fund adding JPY 1 million extra.
Concluding its statement, Yokohama Rubber said that “it sincerely hopes that the situation in Russia and Ukraine will be resolved as soon as possible, and that peace and the safety of all people will be secured”.
