Sheffield-based PCL has appointed Andy Traynor as its Key Accounts Manager as it prepares for a resurgence in business post-pandemic.
Traynor Ready to Meet PCL Customers Across the UK
Taking over from Robert Gardner as he prepares for retirement, Traynor said of his new position, “I’m excited about developing partnerships with PCL’s customers, getting to understand their objectives and strategies to help them identify opportunities and realise potential.”
He added of the company: “PCL is a trusted brand name for workshops, tyre shops and high-pressure applications where time and money is critical. There are cheaper products out there, but they don’t have the same pedigree backed up by full aftersales support and a warranty. I know that when I visit a customer six months after they’ve purchased PCL they’re going to buy more when other companies are dealing with returns and other issues.”
He also added that the industry is finding its feet, with issues such as stock availability and pricing still uncertain, although he added, “I’m looking forward to focusing on development, and hope that my experience in retail will bring a fresh perspective”.
Finally, he concluded: “PCL has a fantastic ethos and atmosphere that’s conveyed right through the company and to customers; everybody is there to help and nothing is too much trouble. I feel very fortunate to be part of the team.”
For PCL Sales & Marketing Director, Lee Wright, he commended Andy’s experience in nurturing relationships instead of ‘transaction sales’ and added: “It will be exciting to see what opportunities his retail expertise will bring as we all look forward to the future following the pandemic. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Robert for his excellent work and wish him a very happy retirement from all at PCL.”
