Noise Plays Key Factor in Driving Comfort, Argues BKT
Noise generated externally also represents noise pollution, which people are increasingly sensitive to, argues BKT, explaining that noise arises from a vibration at high frequencies - typically around 100 Hz, amplified at high-speed movements. It's important to distinguish between two types of tyre-related noise: one generated by the tyre itself, which resonates with parts of the vehicle and the noise generated by the wear and tear of its tread.
In this regard, BKT offers two tyres, the AGRIMAX V-FLECTO and RIDEMAX IT 697 M+S, intended for different applications and ideal for those looking lower noise emission, in addition to high-quality performance.
AGRIMAX V-FLECTO is characterised by a different geometry of the lugs, while the RIDEMAX IT 697 (M+S) is equipped with a tread developed from a road design, ensuring emphasis on drivability and comfort.
AGRIMAX V-FLECTO is a tyre designed to improve the performance of high-power tractors thanks to its VF technology which makes it possible to maximise loads without changing tyre pressure. AGRIMAX V-FLECTO can transport 40% more weight than a standard tyre of the same size and with the same recommended rim.
By decreasing the pressure, the number of lugs resting on the ground is higher, improving wear and tear and decreasing noise. AGRIMAX V-FLECTO is also suitable for all those field operations that require low soil compaction. Thanks to the specially studied design of the lugs, this improves noise emissions.
RIDEMAX IT 697 M+S is a green tyre with street cleaning operations. It is therefore predominantly used on the road. Part of BKT's RIDEMAX range, it’s developed to be stable at high speeds, supporting heavy loads to reduce transport cycles and to contain rolling resistance, thus consuming less fuel.
Its strength is the pattern of industrial origin, with a tread that allows for regular wear and tear, low rolling resistance and solid stability. The RIDEMAX IT 697 M+S is also suitable all year round. This is also thanks to the specific tread compound, combined with the incisions in the blocks to ensure better grip in wintery road conditions.
