BKT Expands Production in Bhuj

BKT-Bhuj

BKT’s model production site in Bhuj is now increasing its capacity of agricultural radial tyres significantly, which is to meet the increasing demand worldwide, especially within the agricultural sector.

Investment of EUR 95 Million for Extended Production at Bhuj Base

On 4th March, BKT rolled out its first radial tyre to cement the increased production for its Bhuj production site. Since May last year, BKT set aside funds to enhance production at its Indian base. The new plant now spreads over 12 acres to help achieve its full manufacturing capacity of 50,000 metric tons within six months. The site currently exports tyres to over 160 countries.

“The worldwide demand for agricultural tyres is on the upswing,” comments Arvind Poddar, BKT Chairman and MD. “There is a strong indication that growth in this sector is here to stay. In keeping with the company vision of growth and quality, the present expansion would meet the expectations of our loyal customers. During one of the most difficult times that the world has seen, we adopted a strategy that helped us satisfy even our most demanding customers and deliver our products as per their requirements. We truly feel that it is time to act and put our best foot forward to meet our commitment to the rising needs of our customers. This expansion is our answer to the universal demand.”
