Spanish vehicle sales hit with an overall drop in demand in May 2022.

Spanish Commercial Vehicle Sales Down

According to Spain’s la Asociación Española de Fabricantes de Automóviles y Camiones ANFAC, light commercial vehicle registrations fall by 32.7 per cent compared to the same period last in May with total LCV sales coming to 10,914 units. For the year-to-date, 46,369 units were registered between Jan 2021 and May 2022 – 36.1% down on same period in 2021.

The impact on commercial vehicles was less dramatic with the fall being held at 4.6 per cent in May. 9,454 Commercial vehicles were registered between Jan 2021 and May 2022 – 1.5% up on the same period in 2021).

Buses saw a boost with a sales increase of 44.4 per cent, or 169 units in May – with a total of 956 units being registered in the year to May.
