Continental will now supply John Deere TractorMaster and Tractor85 agricultural tyres, which will be supplied to John Deere’s 7R and 8R series, in a sign of continuing cooperation between the two companies.
Continental Stepping up for John Deere with TractorMaster Tyres
Last November, Continental started supplying TractorMaster and Tractor85 tyres to John Deere's Ohio factory. These tyres will be equipped on John Deere’s 7R and 8R large tractors, as the tyres have an external tyre diameter of 2.05 metres and up to 50” rim diameter.
The TractorMaster and Tractor85 series use d.fine lug technology, which involves making an enlarged rim for the tyre for a smoother ride. Combined with the N.flex technology, the tyres have a high degree of dimensional stability and clash resistance, enabling the driver to adapt to uneven ground.
John Deere started utilising Continental tyres for their Mannheim factory in Germany in 2019. With the new agreement, it appears that Continental will continue to expand its operations within the larger tractor market.
“The agricultural tyres TractorMaster and Tractor85 are ideally suited for use on different soil conditions. Thanks to the flexible nylon carcass, they provide the farmer with the best possible support, whether on the field or the road”, explains Jens Mund, Key Account Manager for agricultural tyre original equipment at Continental Commercial Specialty Tyres.
