The 46-year-old Miñarro is married and has a six-year-old son. He is based and lives in Córdoba, Andalusia, and holds a degree in marketing and sales. He has been working in the tyre business in the last 14 years. There, his professional background includes many different roles such as in customer service and marketing, as a trainer, and particularly in sales for the last three years. Miñarro reports to Sandeep Unni, Regional Head South Europe at YOHT.

“I am very proud to start this position as Country Manager Iberia at Yokohama Off-Highway Tires, and I am very grateful for the trust that YOHT has placed in me. This position offers excellent opportunities to further develop my career within this great company. Furthermore, the Spanish tyre market is a very competitive market and traditionally very price sensitive. Lately, however, it is becoming more and more professional, and I am looking forward to further spreading the news on the top tyre solutions offered by the huge portfolio of Alliance, Galaxy and Yokohama”, explains Miñarro.

Expanding the base
Based on the most complete range of any OHT manufacturer currently operating in Spain, YOHT sees a significant advantage for distributors and end-users. Together with Fernando Perez, Field Sales Specialist for the industrial and construction segments, Miñarro will work on the further development of the future Yokohama network in Spain: “The team will probably grow in the coming months in order to best serve our existing and new customers”, concludes Miñarro.

Sandeep Unni highlights the potential of YOHT’s Alliance and Galaxy brands as well as Yokohama’s industrial tyres; “We are happy to see José Miñarro in his new responsibility and we are sure that he will add further value, and continue to boost our activities and presence in Spain. As we are continuously investing in R&D and the development of cutting-edge products, such as the Agri Star II, for example, we also need the right people in the right positions to effectively support our customers and end-users.”
