Van den Bosch, one of Europe's largest logistics service providers in the field of liquid & dry bulk, has opted for an extension of its collaboration with the German tyre manufacturer Continental. In addition to the delivery of premium truck and trailer tyres, Continental also takes care of the entire European tyre management for Van den Bosch within this partnership.
Continental and Van den Bosch Partnership Prevails
Hans Kanters, Director Procurement at Van den Bosch: ʺIn our cooperation with suppliers, we think it is important that our specific needs are considered. In addition to safety and operational reliability, efficiency and innovation also play an important role. In addition, we expect our suppliers to have a clear vision and contribution in the field of sustainability. As Van den Bosch, we have set a goal of being a frontrunner in our industry in the field of sustainability by 2025, so it goes without saying that this is an important criterion when choosing our suppliers.ʺ
Antony van Lierop, Technical Department Manager at Van den Bosch, adds: ʺIt is also important that we are relieved of the burden of managing our fleet, which has several European locations. For this, Continental has a European network that we can use 24/7, for regular replacements, fleet inspections and breakdowns. This enables us to further increase our operational reliability and thus the delivery reliability towards our customers. In addition, we have real-time insight into all tyre-related costs of our fleet via the management reports from the online Continental Cesar fleet management system. Continental's approach therefore fits in well with our wishes and needs, so an extension of the collaboration was a logical choice for us.ʺ
Edwin van Erp of Continental: ʺWe are very proud that Van den Bosch has extended the collaboration with us. In recent years, Continental has invested heavily in new products, as well as in systems and services that allow us to make tyre management, both within and outside the country's borders, more transparent and simpler for fleet owners. We therefore see it as a token of appreciation when a renowned logistics service provider such as Van den Bosch once again chooses Continental.ʺ
