BKT Provides 42 Giant EARTHMAX SR 468 Tyres for the SECL Mine

For this important order, the off-highway manufacturer, BKT show that they are still a key player in both the OTR industry and the Giant segment.

BKT's Tyres Prove Popular with Indian Government

With the supply of 42 giant EARTHMAX SR 468 tyres, in the 40.00 R 57 size, to the Mining Company, SECL (South Eastern Coalfields Ltd.), owned by the Indian Government’s Ministry of Coal, BKT has made great inroads in the Indian mining market. The first batch of 6 tyres made for SECL has already been shipped, while a further 2 batches will reach the customer within a week.

EARTHMAX SR 468 is the 57" tyre – the largest ever made by BKT, which is manufactured in BKTsBhuk, India plant. The tyre is designed to equip rigid dump trucks operating in the most hostile conditions. Characterised by being particularly resistant to attacks and punctures, thanks to the All Steel structure, it is, therefore, suitable, for rough and muddy terrain. The enhanced features of the EARTHMAX SR 468 include the special tread design and compound, both created to limit the heat generated. The E-4 tread depth provides extreme resistance in highly challenging conditions.

This order, show BKT’S willingness to enter and invest in the Giant segment, a choice driven by increasing requests and feedback for the popular segment.
