ZC Rubber Score Second Prize at 2021 Global Internet Straight to Wuzhen Competition


Zhongce Rubber Group (ZC Rubber) scooped the second prize at the 2021 Global Internet Straight to Wuzhen competition on 28th September with its Project ZC Rubber - 5G + Smart Collaborative Digital Factory entry.

5G Technology Paves the Way for ZC Rubber

ZC Rubber has invested in 5G technology to promote data network platform innovation and data-driven production process reengineering. The technology will enhance the core competitiveness and corporate value through the processes of network collaboration, flexible production, and service extension, while creating a replicable 5G+ smart collaborative digital factory platform for the tyre industry.

Attending the meeting, Shen Jinrong, Chairman of the Zhongce Rubber Group, proposed to promote the transformation of data transmission, processing, and utilisation with the 5G low-latency advantages and to promote the technological revolution with digitisation.

The results have been overwhelmingly positive for ZC Rubber. ZC Rubber’s 5G Smart Factory has achieved a 50% reduction in the product development cycle, a 15% increase in production efficiency, a 40% reduction in product defect rate, a 40% reduction in loss rate, and a 5% reduction in energy consumption. In addition, the 5G Smart Factory has changed the original labour-intensive model, and the number of operators has decreased by about 70% compared with traditional factories.

As one of the essential sections of the World Internet Conference, the Straight to Wuzhen Global Internet Competition is an international event that focuses on the digital economy and runs throughout the year. The competition promotes the establishment of international Internet projects and talent sharing, collaboration, and innovation by exploring new technologies and business modes. This year’s edition attracted 1,012 projects from 19 countries around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France. In total there were180 overseas projects, with the number of Chinese and foreign projects both reaching a record high, which demonstrates how year-on-year this event is gaining more and more attention both internationally and within China.
